Michael & Michael, alone together for the first time, delay naming the intense potential of their intimacy. they fill charged air with the language of superheroes, unspooling summaries of story arcs & meta-re-imaginings across media & time. plots tangle with their own memories. they pick at the knotted mysteries of identity & desire. their bodies experiment with nearness on a bare square of beige carpet. the audience, around & above the stage, each hold/read/reference a single-issue simulacrum of the fictional comic the Michaels describe.
